“I will never be where I am right now if it wasn’t for my alma mater. Whenever I get invited by DepEd/Taguig City as a motivational speaker, I always highlight my experiences at SGIS. My skills in leadership were sharpened as early as my grade school years and was honed more when I reached high school.

It is not too late to thank our teachers and the institution where we came from.”

“I have learned many things about leadership and camaraderie during my time in SGIS. The extra-curricular activities that the school have catered, designed and refined my organizational and leadership skills.”

“I would always be grateful for my elementary and high school alma mater - SGIS. My experience has nothing been short of memorable and very rewarding. It was in this place was I able to get out of my shell, find my confidence, discover, and develop my potential.

SGIS would always be much more than just a “school” for me. It was much more than just a place to sit through lessons and pass exams. It was an all-inclusive playground, where I explored and discovered new interests and passions. It was a lively community, filled with the most supportive and inspiring teachers and peers. SGIS was also an exhilarating boot camp where it had trained me well for the next academic chapter (university).

All in all, I have no regrets spending a big part of my formative school years in SGIS. After all, this was a place that gave me all the right opportunities to excel and grow. And achieve I did! Not only had it helped me graduate with various honours and awards, it had also helped me secure my dream college – Ateneo de Manila University. As such, I would always remember SGIS with a very fond and grateful heart. Thank you SGIS!”

“My years in SGIS helped cultivate my love for the Arts and Humanities— complementary to our academics, the institution allowed its students to try new things until they find their interest, may it be in sports, theatre, music, dance, or even showcasing one’s academic prowess. Because I've had the opportunity to try my hand in different extra-curricular activities, I learned that I had the potential to go beyond academic learning and embrace my passion for my other interests such as art and theatre— this, I believe, is what holistic learning can provide.

SGIS gave me a well-rounded education, passions that I've taken to heart, and life-long friends to celebrate wins. The institute not only produces academically excellent graduates, but also passionate, socially responsible people.

As a Marketing & Communications professional, I'm grateful to have had a holistic education that honed my academic grit, creativity, and ability to connect with people.”

“You see, life is like the magic of flight. With its ups and downs, the ground is where we ought to begin before we rise. I am very thankful for I was blessed to have begun mine in Saint Gabriel International School. I was one of its pioneer students, and the school has deeply imbibed in me the value of a quality education, thanks to the provisions given to me by Dr. Mildred A. Go and Engr. Roman T. Go, and the many excellent teachers who mentored me through the years. From all of them I have learned the importance of wisdom before knowledge.

I graduated from SGIS with flying colors and took up BS in Aeronautical Engineering at the Philippine State College of Aeronautics. It was such a transition, a completely different kind of environment and experience. Unlike high school, college instructors did not care if my grades almost plummeted down the hole. Only very few did. But because I was gifted by SGIS with good grammar and comprehensive skills, I understood better what needed to be learned as I went on in time. Equipped with the right attitude and values, what was so difficult at first became ironically fun.

This is where I learned to work and play, enduring to be great. So know that I will forever be grateful to you. Thank you, Saint Gabriel International School!”

“SGIS has stayed true to its promise and commitment of developing holistic life-long learners. I would describe my time of being a student in the institution as my shaping years, where I was not only allowed and encouraged to excel in my academic responsibilities, but also to engage myself in various extracurricular activities.

In the process, and with the unparalleled support received from my teachers, whom I consider as my mentors, I have developed a multitude of skills that were critical to my overall development.

Having graduated from SGIS way back in 2015, still, I know that in my ways forward, I will continue to bring these learnings with me as I pave new paths. Not only for my personal career, but also that of other people that I seek to serve and support as an HR professional.

In the four corners of SGIS, I found my home, and I will continue to look back to this place as my starting point, where I shall continue to make strides, strive, and ultimately, prosper.”

“I entered SGIS as a transferee from Singapore in my 3rd year in high school. Given this, as any other transfer student can attest to, I was initially on edge since I knew I had to adjust to cultural background differences, a new education style, and language barriers. Thankfully, overtime I found that these obstacles were fairly easy to overcome. Given that the school has a relatively small and close-knit population, it gave the opportunity for the teaching and mentoring methods to be more hands-on and catering to the needs of each student respectively. Being an international school, SGIS also takes pride in their holistic education which focuses on both academic and extracurricular development of their students. This is evident in our yearly performance programs, extracurricular clubs, and - my personal favorite - our year-long Sportsfest, all in which the whole school actively participates in. This holistic approach aided me in adjusting better to the community while also honing my leadership and social skills during my school years.

Although I was only able to spend a few years in SGIS, it has definitely been a memorable journey for me as an alumna. All these learnings, experiences, and bonds which I’ve gained throughout my journey as their student, I have carried with me all through my college and career endeavors, and I can proudly say that SGIS is home.”

“To become a doctor is a daunting task but I’m one step closer to achieving my dreams.

I owe this to everyone who has believed in me and supported me all throughout my journey; I thank my family for giving me the opportunity to study in the first place. The people in my life whose presence alone is enough to push me through the day.

Moreover, I would like to acknowledge the school who have shaped me for who I am today; Saint Gabriel International School, for helping me achieve my utmost potential by being a part of the Gabrielite family.”
